BEFORE YOU CAN BLINK

Cinemavixion Review

Matondo Kiantandu's "Before You Can Blink" offers a whirlwind romance that quickly spirals into a test of endurance and trust. The film centers on Sahara Teka, a woman defined by her fiery spirit yet seemingly trapped by an abusive past. Her life takes an unexpected turn when Mac enters the picture, leading to a rapid courtship and an even swifter marriage. However, as the initial euphoria fades, unspoken secrets begin to surface, challenging the foundation of their impulsive union. While the premise hints at dramatic revelations, the narrative's pacing and execution leave room for deeper exploration of the characters' motivations and the complexities of their relationship. Despite its modest production, the film attempts to tackle themes of love, trauma, and the courage required to confront buried truths, making it a noteworthy, albeit flawed, independent drama.
