BEDEVILED

Cinemavixion Review

Abel and Burlee Vang's 2016 thriller, "Bedeviled," plunges viewers into a modern nightmare where technology becomes a conduit for terror. Starring Saxon Sharbino, Mitchell Edwards, and Brandon Soo Hoo, the film centers on a group of friends who find themselves targeted by a malevolent supernatural entity after downloading a seemingly innocuous, yet mysterious, new app. While the premise taps into contemporary anxieties about digital intrusion, the film struggles to fully capitalize on its potential. Critics have noted its uneven pacing and underdeveloped scares, leading to a mixed reception, with an IMDb rating of 4.2/10 and a stark 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite its shortcomings, "Bedeviled" offers a cautionary tale for the digital age, exploring the dark side of connectivity in a genre that thrives on suspense and psychological unease.
