BEAUTIFUL VILLAGER 4

Cinemavixion Review

Mustafa Şevki Doğan's "Beautiful Villager 4" plunges into the heart of a soul adrift. Gul, weary of Istanbul's relentless pulse and a fractured romance, seeks solace in the tranquil embrace of Güzelköy. Her arrival disrupts the serene, if eccentric, existence of Sultan Ana, who mistakes Gul for her own grandchild. The narrative weaves a compelling tapestry as Gul invites her sisters to join her, creating a communal haven under Sultan Ana's roof. Yet, the past refuses to remain buried, with the arrival of Gul's ex-fiancé, Kaan. Despite his presence, Gul's affections have found a new anchor in Cemal, a local. The film explores the poignant contrast between an urban upbringing and the burgeoning, unexpected passions that blossom in the simplicity of village life, charting Gul's journey into a new, transformative love affair.
