Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling glimpse into the often-complex dynamics between adult children and their parents when the pursuit of homeownership intersects with familial financial support. The narrative centers on two distinct groups: the Romms, seeking a home spacious enough to entertain friends, and the Basinski besties, who are strategically enlisting parental backing to secure a distinctive property. The film adeptly explores the blend of aspiration, negotiation, and emotional investment inherent in such significant life decisions. It raises thoughtful questions about independence, financial responsibility, and the evolving nature of family support systems in the modern era, making for an engaging watch that resonates with the universal dream of finding one's own space.
