BEAST - A MONSTER AMONG MEN

Cinemavixion Review

Mike Lenzini's 2013 thriller, "Beast: A Monster Among Men," plunges into the dark undercurrents of friendship and trust within the confines of a secluded cabin. The film, starring Blake Farris, T.J. Lavin, and Darren Flores, masterfully builds tension as five friends' relationships are tested by simmering resentments and unearthed secrets. Lenzini, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Flores, crafts a narrative where the true horror lies not in external threats, but in the psychological unraveling of the characters. Despite a modest IMDb rating of 4.2, the film's exploration of self-deception and the hidden depths of human nature offers a compelling, if unsettling, viewing experience. Garnering three wins, "Beast" highlights Lenzini's ability to create an atmosphere of mounting dread and interpersonal conflict, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of psychological thrillers that delve into the complexities of the human psyche.
