BATHING FRANKY

Cinemavixion Review

Owen Elliott's 'Bathing Franky' presents a poignant exploration of connection and unconventional relationships. The film centers on Steve, a man grappling with the ghosts of his past following his release from prison. His inability to reconnect with his girlfriend is overshadowed by the lingering impact of a relationship with a fellow inmate. A chance encounter during a 'meals-on-wheels' job introduces him to Rod, an effervescent older gentleman, and his formidable invalid mother. This mother-son duo inhabits a world rich with fantasy, their lives punctuated by a modified ride-on lawn mower and an imaginative spirit. Steve finds himself drawn into their unique reality, and an unexpected and profound friendship blossoms between him and Rod, offering a glimpse into the diverse forms human connection can take.
