BAKER'S MAN

Cinemavixion Review

"Baker's Man" presents a charming, albeit familiar, romantic comedy premise that centers on Thomas Stevens, a wealthy philanthropist, and a talented pastry chef he suspects of pilfering his mother's legacy. The film, directed by Maurice Hall and Van White, unfolds as Stevens evaluates the chef for a substantial grant, only to find himself drawn into her world of culinary artistry and, unexpectedly, romance. While the plot treads well-worn ground, the chemistry between the leads, particularly Devan Chandler Long and Kj Smith, elevates the narrative. The film, released in 2017, offers a lighthearted diversion, exploring themes of trust, ambition, and the sweetening effect of love. Despite a modest reception according to IMDb ratings, "Baker's Man" serves as a pleasant watch for fans of the genre, delivering a heartwarming story with a satisfying conclusion.
