BADLAND DOVES: REVENGE IS DEADLY

Cinemavixion Review

In the rugged landscape of 'Badland Doves: Revenge Is Deadly,' director Paul Winters crafts a potent tale of retribution. The narrative centers on Regina, a woman whose life is shattered by violence, prompting a relentless pursuit of justice. Her quest takes a significant turn when she discovers a parallel tragedy involving a murdered prostitute, leading her to forge an unlikely alliance with other women wronged by the same perpetrators. This collaboration transforms the film into a compelling western that explores themes of vengeance and solidarity. While Sandy Penny, Jessica Y. Martin, Michelle Nuquay, and Elizabeth Selby anchor the film with their performances, the true strength lies in its exploration of how shared trauma can ignite a collective fight for justice against a brutal system. The film effectively blends classic western tropes with a modern sensibility, offering a gripping narrative of survival and defiance in the face of overwhelming odds.
