BAD NUN: DEADLY VOWS

Cinemavixion Review

Scott Chambers and Becca Hirani's 'Bad Nun: Deadly Vows' plunges viewers into a chilling tale of faith and fear within the confines of a converted church. The narrative skillfully weaves a sense of unease as Catherine and her family find themselves targeted by a zealous religious stalker, whose pronouncements of sin cast a dark shadow over their new home. The film excels in building suspense, particularly as the menacing presence of the Nun escalates each night, promising a grim reckoning. Performances by Sarah T. Cohen and Nicola Wright anchor the escalating terror, drawing audiences into the family's desperate struggle against an increasingly malevolent force. While the film leans into familiar horror tropes, its atmospheric tension and unsettling premise offer a compelling, albeit grim, exploration of fanaticism and hidden secrets within a seemingly sacred space.
