BAD BLOOD

Cinemavixion Review

Eric Steele's "Bad Blood" offers a chilling exploration of innocence corrupted, weaving a narrative around a social worker's compassionate decision to shelter a withdrawn homeless boy. The film gradually unfurls a dark secret: the child harbors a vampiric nature, turning a story of care into one of suspense and dread. The director masterfully builds an atmosphere of unease, contrasting the warmth of the social worker's home with the chilling implications of her charge's hidden identity. The performances, particularly from the young actor embodying the boy, are crucial in navigating the delicate balance between vulnerability and menace. "Bad Blood" is a compelling, albeit grim, dive into the unexpected darkness that can lurk beneath a seemingly innocent facade, leaving viewers to ponder the true nature of monstrosity.
