BACKSTAGE LIES

Cinemavixion Review

In "Backstage Lies," Laura Lebrel navigates a dual existence as a dedicated detective and a woman juggling personal relationships. This particular investigation plunges her into the turbulent world of theater, where a prominent actress's collapse during rehearsal unearths a trove of animosity, duplicity, and veiled secrets among the cast and crew. The narrative skillfully explores themes of jealousy, betrayal, and the often-blurry line between public persona and private reality. As Lebrel delves deeper, the stakes escalate when personal loyalties are tested, and someone close to her emerges as a suspect. The film promises a compelling mystery that questions whether Lebrel can maintain her professional objectivity when confronted with emotional entanglements, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the stage.
