AWAKEN THE SHADOWMAN

Cinemavixion Review

"Awaken the Shadowman" plunges viewers into a chilling supernatural narrative centered on estranged brothers drawn together by the mysterious disappearance of their mother. The film, directed by J.S. Wilson, masterfully builds suspense, weaving a tale of grief, family estrangement, and an encroaching otherworldly entity. James Zimbardi and Skyler Caleb deliver compelling performances as the conflicted siblings, their strained dynamic serving as the emotional core against the backdrop of rising terror. Jean Smart offers a grounding presence, adding weight to the familial drama. While the film leans into horror tropes, its strength lies in its atmospheric tension and exploration of how trauma can attract darker forces. The plot intricately connects the brothers' past tragedies with the present supernatural threat, creating a compelling, albeit unsettling, cinematic experience that explores the shadows lurking within both families and the unknown.
