AVENGERS GRIMM

Cinemavixion Review

Jeremy M. Inman's "Avengers Grimm" presents a bold, if somewhat unconventional, fusion of fairy tale lore and modern action tropes. The premise is certainly intriguing: four iconic princesses—Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Rapunzel—are thrust into our world to combat the malevolent Rumpelstiltskin, who has escaped through a fractured magic mirror. This setup promises a unique blend of fantasy and contemporary peril, with the princesses wielding their innate magical abilities and newly acquired combat skills against a thrall-driven army. While the film aims for a high-octane adventure, its execution has been met with mixed reactions, reflected in its low IMDb rating of 2.7/10. The narrative, though engaging in concept, struggles to fully capitalize on its potential, leading to a viewing experience that may feel more derivative than inspired. Nevertheless, for fans of genre mash-ups and alternative takes on classic characters, "Avengers Grimm" offers a campy, action-packed diversion that dares to ask "what if?" in the most fantastical way.
