ATTILA

Cinemavixion Review

Emmanuel Itier's 2013 film "Attila" presents a peculiar premise: the resurrected Hunnic warrior, Attila, embarks on a relentless quest for vengeance against American soldiers who have pilfered his hidden treasures. While the concept teeters on the edge of the absurd, the film leans into its B-movie sensibilities with a direct, action-oriented approach. The plot, as outlined, centers on the retrieval of stolen riches, igniting the wrath of a mummified barbarian. Chris Conrad takes on a lead role, navigating this unique supernatural thriller. Despite a modest production and a critical reception that reflects its niche appeal, "Attila" offers a straightforward, albeit unconventional, horror-action experience for those intrigued by historical figures resurrected for modern-day mayhem. Its low IMDb rating suggests it may not satisfy all viewers, but its singular vision might resonate with fans of creature features and historical fantasy.
