ATTACK OF THE HERBALS

Cinemavixion Review

In the quirky horror-comedy "Attack of the Herbals" (2011), director David Ryan Keith crafts a tale that’s as bizarre as its premise. The film follows two unassuming protagonists who discover a crate washed ashore, its contents yielding an herbal tea with a rather potent, and frankly, terrifying side effect: transforming the local villagers into deranged zombies. While the film might not boast major accolades, its charm lies in its independent spirit and its dedication to a wonderfully absurd concept. The narrative, featuring Calum Booth, Steve Worsley, and Richard Currie, leans into the low-budget, high-concept appeal, delivering a unique blend of horror and dark humor. "Attack of the Herbals" is a testament to creative storytelling on a modest scale, offering a fun, if unconventional, viewing experience for those who appreciate a good zombie flick with a peculiar twist.
