ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTER

Cinemavixion Review

Roger Corman's "Attack of the Crab Monsters" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic nightmare on a remote, shrinking island. The premise alone is a B-movie enthusiast's dream: scientists find themselves the unwilling prey of intelligent, colossal crustaceans. Corman, a master of low-budget thrills, expertly crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread. The film thrives on its inherent absurdity, leaning into the schlocky charm that has since cemented its cult status. While the special effects are a product of their time, the relentless tension and the sheer audacity of the concept make it a captivating watch. It's a testament to Corman's skill that he can wring such suspense from such a delightfully outlandish scenario, offering a unique slice of 1950s sci-fi horror.
