ATOMIC APOCALYPSE

Cinemavixion Review

Martin Gooch's "ATOMIC APOCALYPSE" plunges viewers into a starkly imagined post-apocalyptic North America, presenting a harrowing sci-fi road trip where the remnants of humanity grapple with a world devoid of gasoline, electricity, and basic civility. The narrative centers on Kate, portrayed with compelling resilience by Krista DeMille, who finds herself increasingly isolated after the loss of her husband and daughter. Her journey, undertaken with the enigmatic loner Joe (Jesús Lloveras), is a desperate quest for survival and a rumored sanctuary. DeMille's performance anchors the film, conveying the profound emotional toll of loss and the fierce instinct to persevere. The film poses a poignant question about humanity's place in a world reclaimed by nature, offering a bleak yet captivating exploration of endurance against overwhelming odds. The stark visual landscape and the palpable tension underscore the desperate fight for existence in this 'nightmare world'.
