ATLANTIC RIM: RESURRECTION

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Atlantic Rim: Resurrection,' director Jared Cohn plunges viewers into a chaotic Los Angeles besieged by monstrous entities. The film presents a familiar apocalyptic scenario where humanity's last hope lies in advanced mechs, ostensibly more capable than their predecessors. However, the narrative emphasizes that the creatures have also evolved, escalating the conflict and the stakes. Steve Richard Harris, Xavi Israel, and Jenna Enns anchor the human element amidst the mechanical warfare and monstrous onslaught. While the premise echoes classic giant monster and robot battles, the film aims to deliver a fresh take on urban destruction and the desperate fight for survival against overwhelming odds. It's a direct-to-video spectacle that leans into its B-movie roots, offering a high-octane, if perhaps derivative, cinematic experience for fans of the genre.
