ASYLUM OF FEAR

Cinemavixion Review

Craig Deering's "Asylum of Fear" plunges viewers into the decaying heart of a haunted mental institution, a setting ripe for terror. The film skillfully weaves a dual narrative, exploring both the contemporary plight of paranormal investigators and the chilling past of a deranged head doctor. With a runtime of 79 minutes, it maintains a brisk pace, focusing on atmosphere and suspense. While the plot delves into the mysteries of missing children and a violent spree, it’s the encroaching dread and the palpable sense of being trapped that truly grip the audience. The performances, particularly from Maurice Demus, Michael Medford, and Callie Deering, anchor the escalating fear as the team uncovers secrets that the asylum itself seems determined to keep buried. A solid entry for fans of atmospheric horror and psychological thrillers.
