ASTRONAUT (THE LAST PUSH)

Cinemavixion Review

This 2012 science fiction drama, 'Astronaut (The Last Push)', plunges viewers into the profound isolation of deep space. The narrative centers on Michael Forrest, whose solo journey back to Earth after a catastrophic mission failure becomes an arduous test of endurance and sanity. Starring Lance Henriksen and Khary Payton, the film, directed by Eric Hayden, masterfully explores themes of solitude, resilience, and the human spirit's capacity to endure unimaginable circumstances. While the external data indicates a modest IMDb rating of 5.3, the premise itself offers a compelling, character-driven exploration of the psychological toll of prolonged isolation. It's a thought-provoking piece that invites contemplation on humanity's place in the vastness of the cosmos and the inner strength required to confront the ultimate solitude.
