ASTRO

Cinemavixion Review

In "Astro" (2018), director Asif Akbar presents a narrative centered on a private space exploration program. The film follows a billionaire and his team who return to Earth having brought back an abducted extraterrestrial. However, this alien visitor harbors secrets of its own, adding a layer of mystery to the encounter. While the film boasts a premise ripe with potential for sci-fi intrigue and action, as suggested by its genre classification, its reception appears to be mixed, with an IMDb rating of 2.2/10 and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 20%. Despite these critical scores, the film's exploration of themes like alien abduction and hidden agendas may still appeal to dedicated fans of low-budget science fiction mysteries. The cast, featuring Gary Daniels and Marshal Hilton, attempts to anchor the ambitious storyline.
