ASOCKALYPSE

Cinemavixion Review

Prepare for a "high-larious" journey into the absurd with "Asockalypse!" This independent sci-fi comedy, released in 2016, tackles an extraterrestrial threat of epic proportions: the Blahnonians, an alien race with an insatiable appetite for Earth's socks, which they use to power their interstellar vessels. The narrative hilariously pits a band of resourceful stoners, armed with the unconventional "weed blaster 5.0," against this bizarre invasion. Actors Eyas Younis and Aizzah Fatima anchor the film with comedic timing, navigating a plot that is as outlandish as it is entertaining. While the film may not boast major awards, its unique premise and commitment to its stoner-comedy roots offer a refreshing, albeit niche, cinematic experience. "Asockalypse!" is a testament to creative, low-budget filmmaking that dares to ask, "What if aliens wanted our socks?"
