ASIA'S UNDERWORLD: PHILIPPINES ASSASSINS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the shadowy criminal underworld of the Philippines, revealing a chilling reality where contract killings are disturbingly accessible. The narrative explores the grim economics of assassination, where a life can be valued as low as 120 US dollars, with costs escalating based on the victim's public profile. It offers a stark, unflinching look at the societal conditions that foster such illicit enterprises and the human cost involved. The film serves as a potent, albeit grim, examination of desperation and the dark corners of organized crime, prompting reflection on the complex factors that perpetuate violence in certain regions.
