AS THE VILLAGE SLEEPS

Cinemavixion Review

"As The Village Sleeps" plunges viewers into a chilling birthday weekend that quickly devolves into a nightmare. The film masterfully blends the tension of a gathering gone awry with a supernatural element, as a mysterious card game blurs the lines between legend and reality. Director Terry Spears, working with a cast including Chloe Caemmerer, Winnie Du, and Mark Adam Goff, crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread. The narrative skillfully turns friends and family against each other, exploring themes of trust and the darkness that can lurk beneath familial bonds. While the IMDb rating suggests a challenging experience for some, the film's commitment to its horror premise and its exploration of psychological terror make it a noteworthy entry for fans of the genre seeking a disquieting watch.
