AS OF YET

Cinemavixion Review

Taylor Garron and Chanel James's "As of Yet" offers a poignant and often humorous look at modern relationships and personal growth, all framed within the unique context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Told entirely through the digital medium of video calls and online diaries, the film captures the isolation and intimacy of lockdown life. Leading the charge is Taylor Garron herself, delivering a performance that is both relatable and compelling, supported by equally adept turns from Eva Victor and Amir Khan. The narrative deftly weaves together themes of navigating difficult roommate dynamics and the blossoming of a new romance, proving that connection can indeed be forged even in times of physical separation. Garnering acclaim, including a reported win and two nominations, and boasting an impressive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, "As of Yet" is a testament to resilient storytelling and the enduring power of human connection in the digital age. Despite its modest runtime, the film leaves a lasting impression, offering a thoughtful and engaging cinematic experience.
