AS NIGHT FALLS

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Davison's "As Night Falls" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative where childhood innocence is brutally confronted by a resurgent evil. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of dread, centering on the haunting tale of Amelia, whose tragic end at the hands of her parents fifty years prior sets the stage for a terrifying return. As Amelia's spectral parents emerge from hell, they impose a sinister curfew, transforming a night of revelry into a desperate fight for survival for Holly and Elizabeth. The arrival of their brother, Charlie, introduces a glimmer of hope and a potential key to understanding the malevolent forces at play. "As Night Falls" explores the enduring impact of parental trauma and the monstrous manifestations of unresolved darkness, offering a suspenseful and psychologically charged horror experience that questions the very meaning of family and discipline.
