This documentary delves into the tragic story of April Carpenter, a young woman whose life was cut short under mysterious circumstances. The narrative focuses on her aspirations for a future as a social worker, juxtaposed with the stark reality of her disappearance and untimely death. The film meticulously reconstructs the events leading up to April's last known sighting at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, and the subsequent discovery of her body in the Red River. It highlights the profound grief and lingering questions faced by her family, particularly her mother, who vehemently asserts that April would not have entered the river by her own volition.
