APOCALYPSE ROAD

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's "Apocalypse Road" plunges viewers into a stark, post-apocalyptic landscape, charting the arduous journey of two sisters separated by the pervasive depression of their shattered world. The film, released in 2016, stars Katie Kohler and Ashlyn McEvers, whose performances anchor the narrative amidst the desolation. Bentman, who also penned the script, crafts a narrative that explores themes of survival, familial bonds, and the psychological toll of societal collapse. While the film garnered 3 nominations according to external data, its critical reception on platforms like IMDb suggests a divisive, though compelling, exploration of human resilience under extreme duress. "Apocalypse Road" offers a character-driven perspective on a world in ruin, inviting contemplation on what it means to persevere when everything is lost.
