APOCALYPSE MEOW

Cinemavixion Review

In a quiet corner of Gothenburg's Majorna district, "Apocalypse Meow" unfolds as a gentle, vérité-style documentary capturing the seemingly uneventful existence of two feline companions within the confines of a small apartment. Released in 2016, this film offers a minimalist portrait of domestic life, focusing on the subtle rhythms and quietude that define the cats' days. While the external data suggests a potential US production with actors Mark Floyd and Vyn Tuxbury, and a writer named Joshua Barclay, the local data emphasizes the authentic, observational nature of the story, rooted in a specific Swedish locale. Without further plot details or critical reception from the external data, "Apocalypse Meow" stands as a niche piece, likely appealing to those who appreciate slow cinema and intimate portrayals of animal life. Its charm lies in its simplicity and its dedication to observing the mundane with a tender, unhurried gaze.
