ANOTHER SOUL

Cinemavixion Review

Paul Chau's "Another Soul" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of familial desperation and supernatural horror. Set in 2018, the film stars Maura Grady, Garlan Green, and Wyatt Kuether as a family seeking refuge in a remote ancestral home after a devastating fire. Their hope for a fresh start is shattered as a malevolent entity, deeply rooted in the house's history, begins to torment them. The spirit's focus on the young son, exposing a dark family secret and an ancient curse, escalates the stakes for the father, Kent. He finds himself in a harrowing battle against the very demons that plague his lineage, fighting to reclaim his children from the encroaching evil. While the film's IMDb rating of 2.2/10 suggests a challenging reception, its exploration of inherited trauma and the fight for a family's soul offers a compelling, albeit dark, cinematic experience. "Another Soul" delves into the unsettling idea that some curses are not just personal, but generational, demanding a confrontation with the past to secure a future.
