ANNELIESE: THE EXORCIST TAPES

Cinemavixion Review

Jude Gerard Prest's "Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes" plunges viewers into the harrowing depths of what is purported to be history's most notorious case of demonic possession. Compiled from actual, often disturbing, video and film recordings of over 76 exorcisms, this documentary aims to present an unvarnished account of Anneliese Michel's ordeal. The film draws parallels to the popular cinematic interpretation, "The Exorcism of Emily Rose," by showcasing the raw, unedited footage that fueled the legend. While the film's IMDb rating of 2.9 suggests a challenging viewing experience for many, its commitment to presenting authentic, albeit grim, material makes it a notable entry for those interested in the darker aspects of paranormal investigation and religious fervor.
