ANGELA MEYER | TAKEN

Cinemavixion Review

This short film plunges into the chilling mystery of Angela Meyer's disappearance in the winter of 2010. Emerging from her Yellowknife home, her vanishing act serves as a stark, unsettling narrative hook. The film masterfully evokes a sense of dread and the profound impact of such an event on a community, even with minimal exposition. It’s a poignant exploration of loss and the unanswered questions that linger when someone is simply 'taken,' leaving viewers to ponder the darkness that can lie beneath the surface of ordinary life.
