ANDIE THE GREAT

Cinemavixion Review

David Laurence's 'Andie The Great' offers a poignant, albeit brief, exploration of existential drift in early adulthood. The film centers on Andie, portrayed with a relatable vulnerability by Anesha Bailey, as she navigates the disorienting transition from university life back into her parents' home. The narrative wisely avoids grand pronouncements, instead opting for a more intimate portrayal of the quiet anxieties and subtle shifts in perspective that accompany such a significant life juncture. Laurence, co-credited with Josh Romyn for direction and writing, crafts a world that feels lived-in, supported by solid performances from Alex Barima and Georgia Bradner. While its runtime is compact, the film manages to capture a specific, often overlooked, period of self-discovery with an authentic and understated charm, making it a gentle yet resonant watch for anyone who's ever questioned their path.
