AMERICAN TERROR STORY: GHOST OF A SUICIDE

Cinemavixion Review

Terry Spears' "American Terror Story: Ghost of a Suicide" plunges viewers into a chilling supernatural narrative, drawing clear inspiration from the spectral dread of "The Grudge" and "The Ring." The film centers on the vengeful spirit of a young Asian girl, who took her own life a century prior. Her restless energy is disturbed by a group of college students, inadvertently unleashing a curse that compels them towards their own tragic demises. While the premise offers a familiar yet effective setup for horror, the execution hinges on delivering genuine scares and atmospheric tension. The film's success will likely depend on its ability to build suspense and craft memorable, terrifying moments from its ghostly antagonist and the students' descent into despair.
