AMERICAN GIRL

Cinemavixion Review

Amy Campione's "American Girl" plunges into the unsettling depths of modern digital intimacy, presenting a chilling narrative of obsession born from an accidental online vulnerability. The film masterfully charts the descent from a seemingly passionate romance into a harrowing spiral of psychological manipulation and cyberstalking. Campione, who also stars, delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the indie drama's gripping tension. While the external data notes a 5.1 IMDb rating, the film's win at the Hollywood Film Festival for Audience Choice underscores its resonant power. "American Girl" is a stark reminder of the precariousness of privacy in the digital age and a potent exploration of how connection can mutate into peril, making it a must-watch for fans of taut psychological thrillers.
