AMERICAN FRIGHT FEST

Cinemavixion Review

Ante Novakovic's "American Fright Fest" plunges viewers into a nightmarish Halloween scenario within the chilling confines of an abandoned asylum. The film skillfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as a local Fright Fest transforms into a genuine bloodbath. While the narrative treads familiar horror territory, its execution is commendable, offering visceral thrills and a palpable sense of claustrophobia. The cast, including Dylan Walsh and Madison McKinley, deliver committed performances that anchor the escalating chaos. Released in 2018, this independent horror feature aims to unsettle, leveraging its desolate setting and the inherent terror of the holiday to craft a memorable, albeit grim, cinematic experience for genre enthusiasts seeking a good scare.
