AMERICAN FANGO

Cinemavixion Review

"American Fango" offers a charming, albeit meandering, exploration of identity and belonging set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City. The narrative follows an Italian actor's journey from Rome to the Big Apple, where a series of romantic entanglements and unexpected detours in Los Angeles ultimately lead him to discover his true self and a sense of home. While the director, Gabriele Altobelli, is not listed in the local data, the external information confirms his vision. The film, starring Joseph D'Onofrio, Deborah Twiss, and Samantha Scaffidi, balances comedic misadventures with heartfelt moments, culminating in a realization that New York is where his heart truly lies. Its blend of romance and self-discovery makes for an engaging watch, particularly for those who appreciate stories about finding one's place in the world.
