AMERICAN COMMANDO 7: SWEET INFERNO

Cinemavixion Review

In "American Commando 7: Sweet Inferno," director Joseph Lai and Betty Chan craft a pulpy action-thriller from 1987. The film plunges into the criminal underworld of Hong Kong, centering on businessman Joseph Wheeler, who, beneath a veneer of respectability, orchestrates a vast drug syndicate. His ruthless ambition to establish a heroin refinery leads him to target a building inhabited by a vibrant dance troupe. Wheeler's methods escalate from bribery to outright violence, creating a volatile situation that draws the attention of detective Jake Orsatti. The stakes are raised dramatically with the murder of a young dancer's mother, setting the stage for a climactic and brutal confrontation between Orsatti and Wheeler. The narrative promises a gritty fight for justice, driven by the escalating conflict and personal tragedy.
