AMERICAN CANNIBAL: THE ROAD TO REALITY

Cinemavixion Review

Perry Grebin and Michael Nigro's "American Cannibal: The Road to Reality" offers a searing look into the chaotic and ultimately doomed production of a controversial reality television show. The documentary meticulously chronicles the behind-the-scenes drama, exposing the questionable tactics and escalating tensions that plagued the project from its inception. Produced by the same promoter responsible for the infamous Paris Hilton sex tape, the film delves into the ethical gray areas of reality television, questioning the pursuit of notoriety at any cost. Featuring notable performances from Sturgis Adams, Mitchell Allen, and Chip Arndt, the narrative unravels the train-wreck that was 'American Cannibal,' providing a cautionary tale about ambition, exploitation, and the often-unseen realities of the entertainment industry. It's a compelling, albeit disturbing, examination of how reality can blur with manufactured spectacle.
