AMERICAN BADGER

Cinemavixion Review

Kirk Caouette's 'American Badger' plunges into a dark, visceral narrative where the lines between victim and perpetrator blur. The film charts the volatile connection between a woman grappling with her inner demons and a volatile stranger, their shared descent into a violent vigilante spree fueled by a dangerous cocktail of desire, deception, and desperation. Caouette, who also stars in the film, crafts a tense atmosphere, exploring themes of obsession and the corrupting influence of power. While the plot promises a thrilling ride through the underbelly of society, its success hinges on the compelling performances of its leads, particularly Andrea Stefancikova and Michael Kopsa, who must navigate the treacherous emotional landscape to bring this gritty tale to life.
