AMERICA AT 500 - GOD IN THE AMERICAS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, 'America at 500 - God In The Americas,' directed by Claude Lortie, offers a fascinating, albeit brief, glimpse into the evolving religious landscape of the Americas over the 500 years since Columbus's arrival. The film touches upon the burgeoning religious infrastructure, exemplified by Reverend Young's million-dollar church complex in Houston, juxtaposed with the spiritual uncertainties faced by communities in Venezuela and Guatemala. It posits a narrative of American flourishing, surpassing its European origins. While the provided description offers intriguing thematic threads, its brevity limits a deeper critical engagement with the film's historical scope and socio-religious commentary.
