Kristijan Milić's "Ambushed | Number 55" plunges viewers into the harrowing chaos of autumn 1991. The film chronicles a routine patrol undertaken by a small contingent of Croatian soldiers in a makeshift armored vehicle. What begins as a standard operation quickly devolves into a desperate struggle for survival when their vehicle is destroyed in a brutal ambush. Forced to seek refuge in a nearby house, these soldiers face an unforgiving enemy and the psychological toll of their dire circumstances. Goran Bogdan, Alan Katić, and Marko Čindrić deliver performances that capture the raw fear and resilience of men pushed to their absolute limits.
