AMBUSHED

Cinemavixion Review

Kristijan Milic's 'Ambushed' plunges viewers into the harrowing realities of conflict, chronicling a tense patrol in the autumn of 1991. The film centers on a small group of Croatian soldiers whose improvised armored vehicle is destroyed, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival from a besieged house. The narrative effectively captures the claustrophobia and visceral danger of the situation, highlighting the resilience and camaraderie of soldiers under extreme duress. Milic's direction emphasizes the raw, immediate nature of combat, while the performances, particularly from Goran Bogdan, convey the psychological toll of war. This is a stark and compelling portrayal of a specific historical moment, focusing on the human element amidst the chaos of battle.
