AMAZON QUEEN

Cinemavixion Review

Marlin Darrah's "Amazon Queen" plunges viewers into the heart of the Brazilian rainforest, offering a thrilling narrative set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rio Negro. The film adeptly captures the tension of a luxury cruise gone awry when American tourists become entangled with desperate thieves seeking hidden treasure. Darrah, alongside co-writers Rick Cullis and Richard Lasser, crafts a survival story where ingenuity becomes the passengers' sole recourse against impending doom. The cast, featuring Carly Diamond Stone, Carson Grant, and Nick Dreselly Thomas, navigates the perilous journey with conviction. While the plot centers on a high-stakes chase, the film's true strength lies in its evocative cinematography, showcasing the majestic landscapes that serve as both a character and a formidable obstacle. "Amazon Queen" is a transportive cinematic experience, blending adventure with the raw beauty of the Amazon.
