ALTERED SPIRITS

Cinemavixion Review

Peter Bohush's "Altered Spirits" plunges viewers into a disorienting journey where the boundaries of reality blur. The film skillfully weaves a narrative of four young individuals whose spiritual retreat takes a terrifying turn, pulling them through a dimensional portal into a hostile alternate realm. The premise, centered on a struggle for survival against malevolent entities seeking to possess their bodies, offers a compelling blend of horror and science fiction. Cristina Vee, Steve Weese, and Richard Epcar deliver solid performances, anchoring the supernatural chaos with relatable fear and determination. While the external data suggests a modest 4.7 rating on IMDb, the film's ambitious concept and its exploration of existential threats merit attention for fans of the genre seeking a unique, dimension-hopping thrill.
