ALP

Cinemavixion Review

Juan Salas's 'ALP' plunges viewers into a chilling exploration of trauma and its psychological aftermath. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of dread as Chris, returning home to confront his past, becomes ensnared by a malevolent entity that manifests through the terrifying vulnerability of sleep paralysis. The performances, particularly from Yusef Abdur-Razzaaq, Vanessa Anders, and W.M. Bacon, lend a palpable sense of unease to Chris's descent. While the narrative delves into the spectral, its true horror lies in the very real, internal battles Chris faces. 'ALP' is a potent reminder of how unresolved pain can become a breeding ground for our deepest fears, offering a disquieting yet compelling cinematic experience for fans of psychological horror.
