ALMIGHTY THOR

Cinemavixion Review

Christopher Ray's "Almighty Thor" (2011) presents a low-budget take on the Norse god, starring Cody Deal as the titular hero. The film, produced by The Asylum, pits Thor against Loki in a desperate bid to prevent Armageddon after the mischievous god steals the Hammer of Invincibility. While the plot offers familiar mythological elements, the execution leans heavily on the conventions of direct-to-video action features. Patricia Velásquez and Richard Grieco offer supporting performances, but the film's limited resources are evident. Despite its modest production values, "Almighty Thor" delivers a straightforward adventure narrative for those seeking a campy interpretation of the Asgardian legend.
