ALL IS CALM

Cinemavixion Review

Brittany Goodwin's 'All Is Calm' plunges viewers into a tense marital crisis set against the stark beauty of a remote mountain cabin. The narrative takes a sharp turn into thriller territory when a young couple's attempt to salvage their relationship is violently interrupted by the arrival of two escaped convicts. Goodwin, who also stars in the film, crafts a palpable sense of dread, expertly balancing the intimate drama of the failing marriage with the escalating external threat. The performances from Goodwin and Aaron Mees as the troubled couple anchor the film, effectively conveying desperation and a fragile hope. The film's claustrophobic atmosphere and the unpredictable nature of their captors create a compelling watch, exploring themes of trust, survival, and the unforeseen dangers that can surface when one seeks solace in isolation. This independent thriller offers a gripping descent into peril.
