ALICE: THE DARKER SIDE OF THE MIRROR

Cinemavixion Review

Zach Hamer's "Alice: The Darker Side of the Mirror" reimagines the classic tale not as a flight of fancy, but as a descent into the subconscious, set against the stark backdrop of the early 20th-century American frontier. Arriving in the Pacific Northwest in 1905, Alice finds herself drawn into a Wonderland that is less about whimsy and more about the disquieting reflections of the human psyche. This interpretation eschews the familiar colorful fantasy for a haunting, dreamlike landscape where danger and desire intertwine, presenting a raw, eerie, and hypnotic vision of Alice's journey into madness.
