Guided by the insightful Bettany Hughes, we explore its founding by Alexander the Great and its zenith as a global center of knowledge, home to the legendary Library and influential figures like Hypatia. The film masterfully blends historical narrative with contemporary exploration, unearthing archaeological wonders and vividly reconstructing the city's past glory. While the external data notes a 2010 release and a runtime of 51 minutes, the core essence of Alexandria's rise and fall, as presented in the local data, remains the focal point.
